- There is also plenty of college basketball, football, soccer and more, with the University of Dayton Flyers, Wright State Raiders and Ohio State Buckeyes.
And it’s just a short drive down to Cincinnati where professional teams such as the Reds and the Bengals play in new stadiums.
While virtually every community in the Dayton region provides parks and recreation facilities, Five Rivers MetroParks operates 24 parks covering 11,600 acres and several miles of bike trails. Biking, running, and in-line skating enthusiasts enjoy over 250 miles of paved recreation trail in the Miami Valley region. The area also features 75 public and private golf courses including some that have earned national and international acclaim.
