Group Rating 2 Hour Required Training / Hot Topic Seminar
The Ohio BWC recently established a new mandate requiring specific group rated employers to attend a mandatory two-hour workplace training session. If your company is participating in the July 1, 2010 Group Rating Program and had one or more claims with the BWC during the 2009 calendar year, the BWC has indicated that you must meet this new safety training requirement by June 30, 2011.To help employers meet this new mandate, the Dayton/Miami Valley Safety Council (a program of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce) has agreed to provide workplace safety training sessions specifically to meet this new requirement for group rated employers. Membership in the Dayton/Miami Valley Safety Council and/or the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce is not necessary to attend. (Note: If you attend the regular monthly safety council breakfasts hosted by the Dayton/Miami Valley Safety Council, the Ohio BWC has stated that attendance will not count as credit towards fulfilling this new requirement).
2010-2011 dates are currently being secured.
